You will be seeing a LOT of this... and it's not really a good thing. Fact is Eric, for serious email readers pop-ups are considered worse that sending an unrequested attachment. At least with an attachment you can delete the package. Pop-ups are time intensive and annoying as a part of email.
Have you visited a site and been taken to a pop-up window that advertised something that you had no interest in? Well, the difference is you went to that site on your own or through a link... Imagine the huffs and puffs when you force that on someone taking the time to read an email.
: How do they do that?
It's an applet usually written in Java as a self executing file... something else that folks don't want in their boxes...
: Can I do it using Netscape Mail?
Yep, but don't even go there... it's not worth the bad will. For email stay with PLAIN TEXT. No imbedded letterhead, background or fancy type. Information fast is the key to being read.
