The Largest World Wide Mentoring Program on the Web
-----------------------------------------------------
is coordinated by a local business coach
------------------------------------------
Wanda Loskot, a Sarasota based business coach, plays a role of matchmaker
in one of the fastest growing business organizations in the world - AIB,
Association for International Business.
It started two years ago as a popular e-mail discussion list - a bunch
of business people from different countries sharing ideas, problems, and
solutions across international borders. Today there are over 9,000 members
in 160 countries who meet daily to continue this quest. But now there is
much more than just a daily discussion list. Association for International
Business is now a huge not-for-profit organization offering its members
around the world a remarkable spectrum of activities and benefits - many
free of cost.
Among them are: Trade Consortium, Mentoring Program, Country Contacts
Directory, Strategic Alliances, Local Hosts, Speakers Bureau, Link Exchange,
Photo Gallery, Library....
"It is like a gigantic chamber of commerce with daily networking meetings.
People voice their opinions, make announcements, exchange leads - and above
all, they help each other", says Wanda Loskot, international business coach
with clients in the US, Spain, Poland, and Argentina. She is also a member
of the virtual board of directors chaired by the original founder Ray Gabriel.
Among 23 other board members are business people from every continent:
a financial expert from the Netherlands, a timber exporter from Zimbabwe,
a trade lawyer from eastern Russia, a university professor from Kansas,
an IT specialist from Canada, an exporter from Australia...
Most of the 9,000 AIB members are seasoned international business people
who enjoy sharing expertise, resources and solving problems but many are
just starting out in business. In any case very few of them have ever met
face-to-face. They get to know each other via daily discussion list, internet
chats, and personal e-mail exchanges.
There is also the Mentoring Program that partners experienced, knowledgeable
professionals with less experienced who have a strong desire to learn.
It also began as a digest, a database listing those who wish to find mentors
and those who are offering mentoring help - but as everything in AIB, it
is expanding and growing fast. Loskot created recently an international
team and plans to build a huge network of business mentors around the world.
"AIB provides people with an incredible opportunity to learn about international
business and to grow a network at the same time", adds Loskot. "With a
personal mission to reach and empower as many people as possible you can
imagine how privileged I feel now to play an active part in such a powerful
project!
